In 1830 “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints” was organized by the Prophet Joseph Smith. The “LDS” Church has been persecuted for decades, accused of false doctrine, and being a “Man Made” religion. In fact Mormons have been persecuted so long that persecution and false accusations led to the martyrdom of a prophet and a patriarch, Joseph and Hyrum Smith were martyred for there deep rooted faith in The Book of Mormon. The brothers were killed in cold blood on June 27th, 1844 in Carthage Jail located in Carthage, Illinois. I bare witness from a Catholic perspective that The Book of Mormon is a inspirational text to give people hope for eternal glory in Christ Jesus. Amen.
